Grand Entrance but Poor Service
The whole family together with the other guests were really in awe to the grand entrance of the ship at the port.
Never stay at the upper deck because once it rains, staff will not attend to you but they will attend more to their sound equipments and looking out for people for the bill of the drinks. Nobody ushered us to the inner deck and nobody put us in a new table even though it was raining hard outside.
The welcome picture taking is also a 'hold-up'. We were a family of 6 but the receptionists fooled us to take 1 picture each instead of having a family picture which afterwards were sold to us THB200 each (total to THB1,200).
We were not really expecting to have a superb food but expecting more on a good night view. However, because of the rain, we were not able to enjoy the view. To make it worse, nobody assisted us when the rain started to pour.
Very disappointing experience.

Nice
The dinner cruise on the Grand Pearl was nice and if you a keen to see Bangkok at night and given that this cruise was approx 900 baht, it was value for money; however there needed to be more instructions on the voucher. The cruise starts at 7:30; however you need to get to River City at least 45mins prior as you need to register for the cruise. We didn't do this and just stepped on, with no real hassles, but due to the vast amount of people around, it would have helped if we knew this feature.
The food was nice enough...remembering that this cruise is a buffet!!!; however it was a nice way to see Bangkok from the river at night.

Great experience
Nice cruise, the waiters & Waitresses are polite, live band is excellent. But not much choice on food variety, request to improve.

Beautiful food but food is not up to "Internation" Standard
The food is a quite a of a disappointment. Grand Pearl serve quite a vast variety of Thai food, but to meet to the "international" standard was still very far away. They serve 2 or 3 types of sushi, and is that makes it "international"? .
Besides, the cruise is lack of narration or explanation from the tour guide or operator. We were only being informed that we pass by Wat Arun. Other landmarks along the cruise were not being introduced. The tourists where left alone to take pictures as our pleased.
